About Me
Music has shaped my life from an early age, starting with guitar lessons at just 4½ years old. Playing in my church choir in Ventura, CA, deepened my love for music, and by high school, I chose guitar over baseball, solidifying my passion.
On my 19th birthday, I discovered that music runs in my family—my grandmother was a pianist and violinist, and my birth mother had a gift for sight-reading. This revelation strengthened my connection to music.
I studied at GIT in Hollywood, graduating with honors in 1988, then began teaching private guitar lessons—a journey that brought me immense joy. Later, I pursued composition and arranging at Belmont University while balancing teaching, touring, and performing with artists like Eddie Raven.
My career has taken me across the US, the Grand Ole Opry, and even Japan. I’ve helped artists and students find their musical voice, whether through private lessons or innovative teaching methods.
With the shift to digital learning, I embraced online teaching, creating courses for beginners and aspiring lead guitarists. My mission is to make learning guitar accessible, engaging, and fun for everyone.
